For the unseen

I studied

trauma

not in books

but in people

who waited too long

to be heard.

they came

with ghosts

“take this pill,”

the system said

and watched them

fade

away.

some

were women—

brave,

broken,

believed.

others

were men—

brave,

broken,

laughed at.

I learned

that silence

is not

peace.

it’s just

what happens

when no one

listens.

and so—

I became

the voice

for the quiet,

the mirror

for the unseen,

the fire

for the ones

the world

forgot

to warm.
