Just one more time

they told her

to let go—

that dreams

were fragile

things,

meant to be

outgrown

and

forgotten.

but she,

stubborn soul,

held on.

not with fire,

not with fury,

but with the soft

ache

of trying

again.

when it cracked,

she stitched it.

when it broke,

she whispered—

just one more time.

and that,

somehow,

was always

enough.
